They even gave me a map of nearby trails and local eateries, which turned out to be very helpful. My site was beautifully maintained, perfectly level, and just steps from the dunes. I could hear the ocean waves lull me to sleep every night — a truly peaceful soundtrack. The park itself is immaculate. The restrooms and showers were cleaned multiple times a day and always had hot water — a small luxury that makes a big difference. I was especially impressed with the heated laundry facility. Folding clothes while looking out at the coastal landscape was oddly soothing! In the evenings, I made my way to the communal fire pits, where I met other travelers from all over the country.
