Marina Dunes RV Park Reviews

From oceanfront views to warm hospitality, our guests have plenty to say about their unforgettable stays at Marina Dunes RV Park.

I've traveled up and down the California coast in my RV for over a decade now, and few places have captured my heart the way Marina Dunes RV Park has. From the very first moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They even gave me a map of nearby trails and local eateries, which turned out to be very helpful. My site was beautifully maintained, perfectly level, and just steps from the dunes. I could hear the ocean waves lull me to sleep every night — a truly peaceful soundtrack. The park itself is immaculate. The restrooms and showers were cleaned multiple times a day and always had hot water — a small luxury that makes a big difference. I was especially impressed with the heated laundry facility. Folding clothes while looking out at the coastal landscape was oddly soothing! In the evenings, I made my way to the communal fire pits, where I met other travelers from all over the country. We shared stories over marshmallows and wine, and it felt like we were all part of the same little coastal family. As a retired teacher, I value places that encourage learning, connection, and calm. This park hits all those notes. I explored Fort Ord Dunes State Park right next door and took my time photographing the stunning landscape and wildlife. I even took a peek at the yurts and cabins for future visits — they’re so charming and well-built, I may skip the RV next time! Marina Dunes isn’t just a stopover; it’s a destination. I’ve already recommended it to several friends, and I’m planning a return trip with my grandkids this summer. There’s something magical here — you just feel it.

I travel a lot for work, especially around the West Coast, and I’ve stayed in more RV parks than I can count. Most of them blur together after a while, but Marina Dunes RV Park stands out in the best way possible. I originally booked a weeklong stay while doing a contract job in nearby Salinas, figuring I’d just have a clean place to park and sleep. Instead, I found a place that made me feel like I was on a beach vacation — even after 10-hour shifts. Let me start with the basics: the sites are wide, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. I had no issues maneuvering my 40-foot fifth wheel into place, and everything I needed was hooked up and working without a hitch. The park is quiet at night, which is rare and extremely appreciated. I was up early every morning, and it was nice to take a brisk walk to the dunes and watch the fog lift over the beach before heading to work. The EV charging station on-site saved me a ton of time, and the WiFi was strong enough for streaming and Zoom calls, which surprised me for an RV park. I’m big on fitness, and the fact that they have a well-equipped gym was a game changer. I didn’t have to miss a single workout — the equipment was solid, and the space was clean, organized, and not overly crowded. Even my dog had a great time — he loved the open areas and we both appreciated the pet-friendly attitude from staff and guests alike. But what really struck me was the genuine hospitality here. One of the team members even helped me troubleshoot a minor electrical issue I was having with my rig. That kind of kindness is rare. If you're working in the area or just passing through, don’t sleep on this place. It has everything a full-timer or working traveler needs — and more. I’ll be back, hopefully with some time off next time so I can really take advantage of all it has to offer.

As a full-time travel blogger and landscape photographer, I’ve been to countless RV parks and resorts, always searching for locations that not only offer a beautiful setting but also function well for long stays and digital work. Marina Dunes RV Park checked all those boxes — and added a few surprises I wasn’t expecting. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this wasn’t your average park. The coastal breeze, the soothing sound of waves, and the ultra-clean facilities set the tone for a wonderful stay. I spent the first two nights in one of their charming cabins to give my van a break. It was bright, modern, and incredibly cozy. Waking up in that comfy bed just a short walk from the shoreline was something I won’t forget anytime soon. The view from the porch was postcard-perfect, and the interior had thoughtful details like extra outlets, cozy lighting, and a compact kitchenette that worked great for editing photos late into the night. Then I moved into a premium RV site to shoot and write about both experiences. The pull-through space gave me room to set up a small outdoor workstation under the awning, and I was able to get some stunning sunrise shots just steps from my site. The WiFi here is surprisingly reliable — I uploaded several high-res photo sets to my website with zero hiccups, which rarely happens even at resorts claiming “high-speed internet.” The clubhouse was another unexpected gem: comfy seating, a beachy ambiance, and a quiet space to catch up on writing with a hot cup of coffee. I also appreciated the communal energy at the fire pits in the evening. I met fellow creatives, remote workers, and some lovely families, all of whom had their own stories and favorite coastal spots to share. Marina Dunes made me feel grounded, inspired, and productive — a trifecta that’s hard to find on the road. Whether you’re here to relax or create, this place is a dream. I’ve already drafted two posts and a photo guide for the blog — and I’m hoping to come back for a longer stay next season to capture even more of what this park has to offer.
